# Rights

To publish a piece on "babeluniverse.com", the writer needs to contribute the copyrights of the piece to BabelDAO. In return, the DAO gives the writer an "Author SBT badge" that grants her two things: governance rights and the right to earn $BABEL. 

Aggregating all copyrights to a single entity makes licensing to 3rd parties possible. On the other hand, the writers can govern the DAO and profit from earning & selling $BABEL (as equity of the IP).
